Project Summary: 
Avenida Beira Mar Norte [Beira Mar Norte Avenue] is one of the most beautiful in Florianópolis. A pioneering sanitation project in the country was planned and executed by Casan and Consórcio Fast/CFO, where the collection and pumping of effluents is carried out by Aquastar's 15 compact Aqualift lifting stations over a 3.5 km stretch and flows of up to 150 L/ s. Lifts are in a negative sill situation.

Project Challenge:
One of the most critical points was geology, as the lifts are beside the sea and mechanical stresses, due to the oscillation of the seas and the high level of the water table, bring risks of fluctuation. A second challenge was the design time, which was short for execution and manufacturing. The integration of work between contractors, end users and Aquastar focused on a careful study of each lift, seeking less impact on transitions of inlet channels and suction wells, reduced delivery time and the assembly of equipment in the field, which resulted in the supply of great cost-benefit ratio and compliance with the schedule.  

Product Technical Solution:
Fifteen Aqualift 2700 - 4500 compact lifts were dimensioned, serving flows from 5 to 15 L/s and head heights of up to 20m. The applied lifts have modular heights with dimensions of Ø1.45 and 3.0m / 4.0m and 4.4m in height.

Compact lifts are an important alternative for the collection and transport of effluents in regions with negative sills. These devices bring comparative installation flexibility and agility. The quick installation time allows the expansion of collection networks, promotes the universalization of sanitation, public health services and protects the environment from contamination.
